My car has a leak in the oil pan..how much will it cost to fix?

Depends on the leak. Replacing a pan will obviously cost more than replacing a gasket or main seal. Since you posted this in Ford, I'll assume that you own one so I'll tell you that older 302's and 351's are famous for leaky rear main seals and rocker cover gaskets. The actual price of repair will also depend on what your mechanic charges per hour and how good he is. If you have a front wheel drive the price will go up because you have to pull the motor to fix it. Good Luck!My car has a leak in the oil pan..how much will it cost to fix?
its a gasket prob about 25.00 to have fixed if you do it yourself about 15.00

if its a hole in the pan you can prob do it with something like JB WELD for about 15.00. the oil pan is not under pressure it just holds the oil.My car has a leak in the oil pan..how much will it cost to fix?
I'd first try to retorque the pan bolts to 3/4 of their torque specification using the proper bolt tightening pattern. Maybe you can slow the leak down to just having to wipe it off the engine occassionally. Some oil spots on engines do not need a repair.
