I have an older articat with an oil light that comes on at .5 to full speed.i have oil in it.quik fix/probems?

notice it at the end of a 4 hour ride.

sounds like the oil sending unit (not the oil pump). Or at least that's where I would start OSUs short out some times and cause the oil light to come on when the oil level is just fine. if you change the OSU and the light keeps coming on you may need to check the oil pump or simply see if there is a short in the wiring.I have an older articat with an oil light that comes on at .5 to full speed.i have oil in it.quik fix/probems?
If your oils full, then chances are that its a faulty oil pressure switch. Either that or the wiring for your oil pressure switch is faulty.





Worst case would be that your engine is full of carbon build up (usually occurs when you run your car low on oil) and your oil pickup keeps getting clogged.
