I have a 96 neon with an oil leak........about how much will it cost to fix?

neons have bad problems with cylinder head gasketts leaking.you wont need new cylinders but you will need a new cylinder head gaskett.it will cost you about 6.5 hours labor usually at $45 to $75 an hour depending on where you take it. plus about $100 for parts.

depends where the oil leak is the cylinder n valve heads r just a leak in the line?? if its the cylinder n valve heads u'll have to get new cylinders which will end up being really expensive but if its just the line then u just need to seal it up r get a new line installed which is quite cheap..
50 bucks

Where's it leaking from?
It will depend on where the leak is.

A simple leak, such as valve cover gasket, oil filter, sending unit etc. would be under a hundred bucks.

A more serious leak. main seal, cam seal, and such can cost up to $500 bucks.
Need more information, where is the oil leak? Front seal, rear seal, oil pan....so on...
it all depends on where the leak is,,you didn't say what area it is leaking from,,if its a rear main seal in the engine,,they have to pull the transmission out to get to it,,and that cost around 300 bucks,,anything else can be done with the engine in the car,,if it is a front seal,,it will probably cost around 75 bucks to get it repaired,,and a valve cover gasket, they run about 50 bucks to repair,,the things i have mentioned,,are the most common ones to leak,,i own a repair shop,,and we do this sort of work all the time,,i hope this help,s.
take it to a shop and if they could find the oil leak it might but when some one chaned the oil did not titen the plug
