transmission flush and fill, complete tune up and lube. that should fix it. have your shift linkage checked too. all and all this should be around 100 bucks. if done at a good shop. worst case scenario, youll need a new transmission. new/rebuilt ($2.5k) u pull it junkyard ($100)MY CAR LEAKS OIL AND JUMP WHENEVER I ACCELERATE AT TIMES WHAT COULD THIS BE AND HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST TO FIX?
Check your spark plugs. I had the same problem with my car leaking oil and jumping, then I went to get an oil change and tune up, and the mechanic found one of the spark plugs covered in oil. The jumping is more than likely caused by a spark plug misfiring. If it's not going into drive, you could have oil backed up in your gears which could be a big problem.

You should get it fixed quick because it could lead to a coil problem, blown cylinders, or busted tranny sooner or later. Coil isn't to bad to fix but if a cylinder goes out, the engine block needs to get replaced. We all know tranny's are expensive to fix.
How can you expect a decent answer when you do not state the make, model, mileage or year of the vehicle?
If it is an auto matic Check fluid. and before any expensive repair have a Trans FLUSH done
it's not oil it's transmission fluid. duh
