i have a 2000 chevy metro lsiWhy does oil get into spark plug and how to fix problem?
bad valve stem seals, worn piston rings.
If a valve cover gasket is leaking AND a spark plug is loose, oil can seep onto the plug, but usually if a plug is THAT loose you would be able to hear a loud noise from it as the compression would leak out beside teh loos plug.
The worn valve seals would be the cheapest to repair.
but it's a 50-50 shot. Why does oil get into spark plug and how to fix problem?
Its usually worn rings or the whole motor worn and the only way to fix is to rebuild the engine.
Loose spark plug, bad valve...
Is the engine putting out blueish/gray smoke? If it only blows smoke in the morning when the engine is cold. Then most likely its from valve guides, or seals. If it smokes all the time it is most likely the piston rings.
valves or piston rings leaking, need to take to shop and have motor rebuilt...sorry
bad rings, gaskets. . .
