Question on oils on skin...i have shiny skin!! How do you fix the problem?

Hi! I'm a boy..and i have a problem with oily, shiny skin....when it gets really oily...i clean my face with tissue...to get the oils of and the shine..but there is still shine.....what can i do? Is it time for me to take out makeup? I was thinking of putting a little foundation..or sometime of makeup that I could buy at sephora! Is this a good idea?Question on oils on skin...i have shiny skin!! How do you fix the problem?
No, don't use makeup, especially foundation, it will simply clog your pores and you'll end up with other problems (zits). The oil is a natural moisturizer for the skin, so it doesn't dry out and age prematurely. Daily cleaning will usually help in this regard, but you may need to do more based on your activity level, diet, etc. An old fashioned handkerchief would work better than tissue (which leaves fibers stuck to your face %26amp; may end up clogging those pores). Stridex made/makes a product that you can take with you to wipe your face clean of all the oil %26amp; grime. Also, you could smooth some baby powder over your face after the wipe down. Good luck!!!Question on oils on skin...i have shiny skin!! How do you fix the problem?
I would say no to the makeup - I have yet to find one that really controls oil. Try Clean and Clear blotting films instead of using the tissue - these work much better.

I think you should look at your skincare. I suggest using Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser twice daily and moisturise with a very light lotion such as Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser for Combination Skin.

Just because you have oily skin, does not mean you shouldn't moisturise - if your skin is dehydrated, it will naturally produce more of it's own oils - which is what you're trying to avoid. So the trick is, getting the balance right. You don't want to over-moisturise but you should use something.

Hope that helps.
Powder will help reduce the look of oil.
use oil blotting sheets, biore also has a shire reducer cream u can put on after u wash your face...DO NOT wear foundation
