Replaced water pump fixed overheating oil pressure gauge drops after driving check gauge light comes on 4.0?

If you havnt changed your oil since the overheating you more than likely broke down the oil with the heat , it may just need an oil changeReplaced water pump fixed overheating oil pressure gauge drops after driving check gauge light comes on 4.0?
The crank and rod bearings are bad. If you over heated the engine to the point they went bad then you will be needing another engine. My guess is when you first start it in the moring it had ok oil pressure then when it warms up then it drops to little or no oil pressure. Most likely have valve train damage do to low oil pressure. Sorry for the bad news.Replaced water pump fixed overheating oil pressure gauge drops after driving check gauge light comes on 4.0?
As Chris says, hopefully you've just cooked the oil, and an oil and filter change will solve it. If not, you've damaged either the oil pump or some bearings, in which case it's going to get expensive . . .
what make and model vehicle, what engine? more info the better,,,,,,
