What do you think about the oil/gas prices? how do u think it can be fixed?

WELL THERES NOTHING MUCH WE CAN DO BUT I WONDER IF WE HAD THOSE SOLAR POWERED , BATTERY OR ELECTRIC CARS, HYDROGEN FUELED VEHICLES , NOW IS THE TIME TO SELL THEM WHY HAVE THESE FUELED POLLUTION MAKING CARS RATHER THAN THOSE ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY AUTOMOBILES.What do you think about the oil/gas prices? how do u think it can be fixed?
Staying away from the politics of this as much as I can:

Current oil prices have very little to do with supply and demand of oil itself IMO. The increased price we're paying for gas and oil has a lot more to do with the US economy being in the crapper in relation to the rest of the world's - meaning that the US dollar is worth less than it used to be in the world market. Since oil must currently be purchased from OPEC in dollar currency, it is taking us (and to an extent everyone else) more dollars to buy roughly the same amount of oil that we have bought over the last 5 years.

To ';fix'; the problem, the first thing we need is leadership that has the knowledge and ';skill'; to do whatever it takes to pick up our sagging economy as a whole to make our dollar stronger in the world market. Beyond that it might help if we try to use less gas/oil as a society, but IMO why would oil companies EVER lower the price of gasoline back down below ~$3/gal again when they now KNOW we'll pay at least $3/gal for it since almost no one stopped driving or lowered their oil usage when gas went up to $3/gal?What do you think about the oil/gas prices? how do u think it can be fixed?
The market has been manipulated and the oil is being bought up by greedy little college graduates just like the housing market money was. It will hit a brick wall and the price will plummet eventually. Meanwhile, these greedy pigs can't see the wall coming, yet they are only interested in today while the world gets body slammed into the poor house and industry comes to a near halt. We are well on the way to a genuine crisis and no one seems to care enough to stop it. We were warned.
Get a bike for short trips, Use public transportation where possible, Avoid pointless trips in the car, Do not speed(a car runs most efficient at 65mph and any faster will decrease performance), Make sure your tires have the correct amount of pressure in them (this will increase mileage), Get an oil change (this will increase mileage), Doing these steps will save a lot of money on gas.
I think that the oil and gas prices are terrible, but the market not Bush control them as long as there are investors or better yet betters on he market then the price is what it is some people bet they will go up and just as many bet that they will go down that is how markets work.
there is nothing we can do about the oil prices. it is controlled by OPEC. but we can do something in our own level... that is try saving gas: carpooling, lite acceleration, planned trips, etc...
I think the rise in oil/gas is rediculous and Bush needs to be assasinated for his inability to stop it.

yes im serious
sucks and no theres not much anyone can do but dont buy gas.. and you know thats not going to happen... but doing anything to save a gallon would help some
