Cost of fixing oil leak?

how much money will it cost to fix a leak by the alternator. are they expensive. (engine oil)Cost of fixing oil leak?
Can't say. It might be just a gasket but that might be expensive and if the alternator is hard to get to it may take a long time. It could also be a cracked casting and so be a far more serious event. Ask around and try to find a mechanic/shop that is trusted.Cost of fixing oil leak?
Really depends on what is leaking. The alternator is in a lot of places on different cars. If it's a standard small block chevy type setup with the alternator being on the top it would sound like a valve cover leak to me which is pretty easy to fix. would just need a new gasket and a little time.
what? it depends on the car. anywhere from $50 to $2000. if it is by the alternator, maybe a GM? 3.1, 3.4, or 3.8L? probably lookin at about $700... but im just wingin it, for the lack of info. email me with specifics and i could give you a better ballpark figure. shxt4brains@yahoo.com
question is confusing , alternater shouldnt be leaking oil theres none in it .........

find spot of leak or close to it
A leaking gasket. Depends on the location. Only an auto repair shop can tell you for sure what the cost would be.
