I have a Cadillac and water is getting in the oil can this be fixed and how.?

It can be fixed, but you have to find where the water is coming from. Hopefully it's just an intake gasket, but it could be a head gasket and/or a cracked head. If it's below the intake it's going to get expensive. Get it taken care of before you lock up your motor.I have a Cadillac and water is getting in the oil can this be fixed and how.?
When water is in your oil in generally means that you have a blown head gasket or cracked cylinder head. Both of these problems can be fixed, however, if the cylinder head is cracked then it will need to be replaced. The work involved in replacing the head gasket, if it is the problem, should definitely be done by a professional. Without knowing what year your Cadillac is, it is hard to give you a better idea about an average cost for repair. Good Luck!I have a Cadillac and water is getting in the oil can this be fixed and how.?
usually either a head gasket or an intake manifold gasket, hopefully the block is not messed up or the heads cracked.

It can be fixed. good luck..
It's usually a head gasket. It can be fixed but will cost 700-1000 dollars assuming no other problems.
well u dont say what year your caddy is but it could be a head gasket or a cracked head and yes it can be fixed
脤f water is getting in the oil, in any car, it means that your Cylinder head gasket has gone. Unlikely to be a breach in the engine metalwork.

Do you have ';Yoghurt'; looking stuff on your oil filler cap?

If you just have the white spots on your dip stick, that could be condensation...but if the cap get's more than white spots....it's the gasket.
Probably a Northstar engine. The Northstar is a super engine until it starts going bad, usually coolant leaks and seals in the intake assy. After it begins you may as well toss it into the ocean. The Northstar is so complex a rebuild kit isn't even available so you either buy another used one or a NEW one from GM. The problems with the Northstar have been present since it was introduced.Typical GM thinking is they feel it's cheaper to just keep producing defective units vs re-engineering the engine. Try a mechanic that has LOTS of experience with the Northstars -- could be some sort of non-GM approved 'fix' out there somewhere.
can't be fixed scrap it
