Gas with oil was put in my lawnmower by mistake. Now it won't run. How do I fix it?

lawn mower requires gas and oil separately, not mixed in the gas.Gas with oil was put in my lawnmower by mistake. Now it won't run. How do I fix it?
Clean the gas from carburetor, clean spark plug, fill with gas and it should work again fine, there should be no damage to your lawnmower at all.Gas with oil was put in my lawnmower by mistake. Now it won't run. How do I fix it?
Drain the fuel tank. Pour in some small amount of fresh gas and crank it till it runs again. All that cranking will get out any gas-oil mix that is in the carburetor. If you have trouble getting it to start at first then spray starting fluid (spray can containing ether) to get the engine to catch. When it can run put more clean gas in the tank and let it run for a while.

It is not that tough a problem. If you store the lawnmower for the winter they suggest squirting oil in the spark plug hold to coat the inside of the cylinders for the winter. That is more oil than your mixture would leave there.
The mower is just having trouble with the oil. It won't hurt the machine at all. The result of mixing will only ';foul'; the spark plug as it ';knows'; it doesn't need oil in the fuel so the engine is set up differently.

Get a wrench, unscrew the spark plug from the engine and give it a nice clean bath in gasoline (or gas and oil mixed)... this will clean the carbon crap off of the electrode of the plug. Use a toothbrush for the stubborn stuff... Check the manual (or Google the engine manufacturer and input the model of the engine) and find out what 'gap' the plug needs to be at for optimum running. Get a gap tool from the local auto parts store ($10 max) and make sure the gap is correct. If it's too small, open it a bit with needle-nose pliers and check again. If it's too large a gap. use the pliers to close it down a bit and check again.

Once you have it close to where it should be (or exactly where it should be) for gap, put it back in the engine and try again... if it won't run; be assured it is probably not the fuel mix but some other issue preventing the engine to fire. You can try buying a new spark plug and try starting again. It should work for sure if it went away last fall in a good running order...

Good Luck!
Meathook is rite, I use my chainsaw gas in a pinch. I've even put it in my car once or twice. You have some other problem if it won't run.
empty the tank, flush out the fuel system, and prime with new gas and choke it and start pulling
Disassemble the engine, wash all the parts with degreaser, clean the tank and gas lines, reassemble.
Riding mower or a walking one? A walking one i would turn it over and drain the tank.
What kind of mixture was it. If it was a typical gas oil mixture for a chain saw ow weed eater it should be fine. I burn mix in my mower a lot when I run out of straight gas. It may foul the plug some, but not bad if you don't do it all the time.
I'm no expert, but what I do is drain the mix then fill with gasoline. Then keep trying to start it. Hopefully it will eventually burn off the mixture. Good luck
As stated above, drain tank. Remove bottom carb bowl if you are able to and drain it. Remove spark plug and clean. Reinstall spark plug. Add new fuel (without oil). Attempt to start mower.

If mower doesn't start, try using starter fluid (ether) to assist with starting. Good luck!

Label your fuel canisters to avoid this problem again.
