Do you need to drain the oil when using a glass sealant for fixing a blown head gasket?

if you got water in the oil yes, but first i never use glass sealant, for you just adding to you problem, ,for it does what made to do stop , water , an in most cases you stop the rad upDo you need to drain the oil when using a glass sealant for fixing a blown head gasket?
Not really, but after you are finished with the repair, then I would change the oil and filter, and drain and flush and refill the coolant, to be sure they didn't mix with each other while you were working on it.
If you have a blown head gasket, then you probably have water in your oil. Yes, replace it!
No....this type of sealer is for the cooling system. If it doesn't work...you will need a new gasket. If you are getting compression into your cooling system...this won't fix it. Good luck.
don't wast your money change the head gasket nothing u poor in the oil is going to fix it it might bee a temp fix. but do u wont to be on a major rode win it blows . it is a easy fix Any one that can read can do the work and shooed cost under $100.00 to fix it the right way
The only way I have fixed blown head gaskets is with a new head gasket. No sealants will work. And yes the oil has to be changed as the coolant will be in there as well.
Yes, you wouldn't want the sealant mixing with the oil. If so it could be a sticky mess in and out of your block.
