My 2000 RM 125 is throwing oil out the exhaust what could the problem be and how would i fix it?

when was the last time you repacked your muffler??? as stated, over time there will excessive unburned 2 stroke oil that will collect in the packing and then ';spooge'; occurs (oil coming out the exhaust pipe and fittings where expansion chamber %26amp; muffler mate).

also, what mixture are you running with? you can easily go to 40:1 mixture with a good quality synthetic or synthetic blend 2 stroke oil if running hard at race speeds on a MX track or even drop to a 50:1 ratio for light practicing %26amp; trails riding.

that's my first inclination ... but if it does seem quite excessive amounts of oil, keep a close eye on the oil level in the cases (make sure it's not overfilled first)... if it appears to be loosing oil from the transmission, then I would suspect an plugged vent tube or a seal is bad... an as stated, a 2 stroke doesn't have an oil ring typically (might be some off brand that does??? but not needed).

anyway, first thought is repack your muffler and go to good oil 40:1...My 2000 RM 125 is throwing oil out the exhaust what could the problem be and how would i fix it?
you fuel mixture could be to rich try a leaner mix....is heaps of spooge coming out your muffler if so re pack itMy 2000 RM 125 is throwing oil out the exhaust what could the problem be and how would i fix it?
Sounds like you have mixed too much 2-stoke oil in the fuel. Mix it 50:1
What is this? A 2 stroke doing what it does best! Spew oil out the pipe? OMG!!! Son your RM, besides being outdated will spew oil out the pipe, all 2 stroke MX'ers do this. And if ya pull the top end off and look for an oil ring on that piston you will be mighty disappointed, 2 strokes don't have one. Use a good brand name oil. I had Honda Cr 250's and Cr 500's and used Yamahalube 2 stroke and never had a top end failure or plug fouling. Mix at 40:1 and you should be just fine, and while yer at it check yer jetting, and clean yer air filter every time you ride ....

PS Buy a fourstroke LOL
That is totally normal especially for a 125.Your only issue is running too rich.Take a spark plug reading.Chances are your plug will be brown. That's good.If its black with nasty goop on it you need to at least re-jet.More so change your fuel/oil mixture. If you do change either one , be sure to check your plug after 5-10min. of hard riding.you do not want a white colored plug.Tan is best brown will do.125s can be finicky don't make big changes in anything...baby-steps.You'll be fine.Oh ,and always keep silencer packed. Not only can it get you a horsepower, its respectful.
Is there a plugged air vent in the crankcase? Is the oil level above the mark? Does is smoke. Maybe it smokes and drinks too? Sounds like broken oil rings. It will not be a cheap fix. If the oil rings are broken you are looking at a motor overhaul.
