If you borrow some ones quad and it brakes because they never put oil in it should u have to pay to fix it?

50/50 you are the responsible one but hes the dummy that for got the oil in the first place. so it could of happened to anyone of you guysIf you borrow some ones quad and it brakes because they never put oil in it should u have to pay to fix it?
When you borrowed it ,you took on the responsibility of returning it the same way you received it. Perhaps, your bike were in the yard and I borrowed it, and it brakes down in my care, should I ,simply return it to you?

Can you get some type of legalized papers from a mechanic, showing that

the lack of oil caused the problem? If yes, than you should offer whatever you can to help pay for their bill, but NO, I would not pay the total cost if the lack of oil caused the quad to brake.

hope this helps. If you borrow some ones quad and it brakes because they never put oil in it should u have to pay to fix it?
NORMALLY, you should always return something in as-good-as or even BETTER condition than when you got it.

This situation may be hard to prove. The owner can say it was full when you got it and you ran it too hard.

A lot depends on how good of friends you are.

As someone else said, 50-50 may be the best bet here.
that's a humdinger, I always check the oil especially in a borrowed machine , but if it happened to me I would get it fixed. If the fellow you borrowed it from realizes hes partly to blame he may split the cost with you.
you should check the oil and everything before you borrow it if you broke it you fix it
